Objective

  • Visualize and analyze the spread of COVID-19 globally, focusing on time-series trends and country comparisons.

Approach

  • Developed interactive dashboards in Tableau to track cases, deaths, and recovery rates across different countries.
  • Used calculated fields and parameters to allow users to explore the data and gain insights.
  • Built interactive dashboards with filters for region, country, and time.
  • Compared early 2020 outbreak with 2021 Delta surge.
  • Visualized case waves, mortality, and growth rates per continent

  • Identified U.S., India, Brazil, Russia, and Mexico as most impacted during the Delta wave.

The analysis was conducted using two key datasets sourced from global COVID-19 reporting repositories:

  1. Daily Confirmed Cases:

    • Variables include: Date Reported, Country Code, Country, New Cases, Cumulative Cases, New Deaths, Cumulative Deaths.

    • Used for time-series analysis of infection trends and mortality rates.

2. Cumulative Confirmed Cases:
